Are you a dedicated Urologist looking for flexible, rewarding locum opportunities? We are seeking a skilled and committed Urologist to provide exceptional inpatient care in a hospital-based setting. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to a vibrant healthcare community while enjoying competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
In this position, you will deliver specialized urology services to adult and geriatric patients, covering procedures such as general urology and ureteroscopy, within a Level 3 trauma hospital. Collaboration with a team of experienced urologists ensures continuity of care and professional support. The coverage will be minimal, providing flexibility to your schedule, with a shift pattern involving 24-hour weekend and weekday coverage, including callback duties from 7 am to 7 am.
Required Skills:
Board-certified or eligible in Urology
Valid medical license in South Carolina or eligible for licensing
Proven expertise in general urology procedures, including ureteroscopy
Strong clinical and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with inpatient urology care in a hospital setting
Familiarity with trauma-level hospitals (Level 3 trauma experience preferred)
Prior experience working with multidisciplinary teams and ancillary staff
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Completion of Urology residency and Urology fellowship (if applicable)
Minimum of 2 years post-residency experience preferred
Other Requirements:
Willingness to provide inpatient APC support 7 days a week
Travel reimbursement for approved expenses (flight, hotel, rental car, mileage at IRS standard rate)
Ability to commit to the scheduled dates as outlined; coverage will be minimal but ongoing support is valued
