Physician Family Medicine
Join our dedicated team as a Family Medicine Physician and make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our military community. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care services across multiple military treatment facilities in Colorado and Utah, supporting active-duty personnel, retirees, and their families. With a focus on clinical excellence and patient-centered care, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health of those who serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a full range of physician services within the scope of clinical privileges, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, health assessments, and preventive care.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
Educate patients on health maintenance, positive health behaviors, and self-care strategies.
Supervise and instruct other healthcare professionals, providing educational lectures and in-service training.
Ensure compliance with government and professional clinical standards and protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited institution.
Graduation from a U.S., Canadian, or approved foreign medical school with ECFMG certification.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Family Medicine.
Active, unrestricted medical license.
Minimum of 24 months of active practice or training as a Family Medicine Physician within the last 36 months.
Current clinical competency verified through activity logs.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
U.S. citizenship.
Nice to Have Skills:
Board certification by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists.
Experience working in military or federal healthcare settings.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Additional certifications such as ACLS or BLS.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school.
Residency training in Family Medicine approved by ACGME.
Prior experience in a military or government healthcare environment.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 0730-1630, with flexibility for occasional nights, weekends, or on-call duties.
Ability to work at multiple locations within the Colorado Military Health System, including the United States Air Force Academy, Peterson Space Force Base, Schriever SFB, Buckley SFB, Fort Carson, and associated clinics.
Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week, with hours subject to change based on operational needs.
Compensation:
$150/hr all inclusive rate as 1099
