Diagnostic Radiology/Nuclear Medicine - Radiology-Diagnostic
Join our dynamic team as a Diagnostic Radiologist specializing in ED coverage, and make a vital impact in emergency care while enjoying a flexible and rewarding professional environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely, providing essential diagnostic support during overnight shifts and daytime hours, with a focus on resident teaching and case log documentation.
We are seeking highly qualified radiologists to cover 2-3 weeks per month, with consideration given to candidates available for at least one week per month, averaging 7 shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience with emergency department cases, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of mixed cases efficiently.
Required Skills:
Valid medical license with Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology or Nuclear Medicine
Proven experience in ED coverage, emergency radiology procedures, and case management
Ability to teach residents effectively
Submission of recent NPDB report (within last 30 days)
Clean malpractice history
Capable of interpreting 80-130 cases per 8-hour shift
DEA waiver (DEA not required for remote work)
Flexibility to work overnight shifts (11 p.m. – 7 a.m. EST) and daytime shifts (12 p.m. – 8 p.m.)
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with remote radiology interpretation platforms
Prior teaching or mentoring experience with radiology residents
Familiarity with hospital electronic health records and case documentation procedures
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree (MD or DO)
Board-certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology or Nuclear Medicine
Minimum 2 years of emergency radiology experience preferred
Recent case log documentation demonstrating proficiency in ED scenarios
Other Requirements:
Ability to work remotely with reliable internet connectivity
Submission of case logs with application
Willingness to adhere to all applicable licensure and certification standards
No DEA license required unless working on-site; DEA waiver necessary for remote work
