Overview:
United Digestive’s East Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates is actively seeking dedicated and skilled Gastroenterologists to join our expanding team. Position Summary:
As a Physician with United Digestive, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered digestive healthcare across our medical offices in Conyers, Covington, and Oconee. You will join a collaborative team committed to innovation, clinical excellence, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive gastroenterology services, including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, enteroscopy, hemorrhoid banding, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and other advanced procedures.
Manage an average of 15-18 patients per day, ensuring thorough evaluation and treatment.
Participate in hospital call schedules (approximately 1:4), delivering cross-site support as needed.
Collaborate with a team of 3 MD/DO physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers to deliver coordinated care.
Contribute to practice growth through patient education, quality improvement initiatives, and adherence to best practices.
Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with advances in gastroenterology.
Qualifications:
MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
VMS certification required; candidates who are Board Eligible and within certification window are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory for recent graduates.
Must meet all licensure requirements for practicing medicine in Georgia.
Candidates previously Board Certified and seeking recertification are welcome (case-by-case consideration).
Not accepting visa or locum candidates.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience, to be discussed during interview.
