Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - Emergency Medicine in Cambridge, OH
Are you an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a dynamic locum assignment that offers both professional growth and flexibility? We are seeking a dedicated provider to deliver high-quality emergency care across multiple sites in Cambridge, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with a collaborative team in a well-supported environment. Start as soon as credentialed—typically within 45-60 days—and enjoy a rewarding role that combines clinical excellence with work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide emergency medical care at two sites, O'Bleness and Cambridge
Cover approximately 55-60 patients per day at Cambridge and 24,500-25,500 annually across both sites
Work 12-hour shifts, including nights, with a minimum commitment of 5 shifts per month
Ensure high standards of patient care in a fast-paced ED setting
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including APPs and transfer partners
Required Skills:
Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine
Active Ohio medical license and DEA registration
Proven experience in emergency medicine with the ability to handle high-volume patient care
Strong diagnostic, procedural, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team during 12-hour shifts
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience working with MediTech EMR
Prior exposure to rural or community hospital settings
Multilingual capabilities
Preferred Education and Experience:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine clinical experience in a hospital setting
Prior locum or similar temporary positioning experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
Credentialing process completion within 45-60 days
Flexibility to work across both O'Bleness and Cambridge sites
Ability to travel to transfer locations including Riverside, Grant, Genesis, OSU, and Aultman
No overtime expected; travel booked through our office
Compensation at $273 per hour
Physician conversion bonus capped at $18,000-$20,000
