This pivotal role offers a rewarding opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary outpatient department, providing cancer and blood disorder management to adult patients, supported by advanced facilities and dedicated staff.
We are seeking a highly skilled physician with a passion for oncology and hematology to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. This position provides a unique blend of clinic responsibilities and hospital support, with flexible schedules designed to foster work-life balance while ensuring comprehensive patient coverage.
Required Skills:
Board certification in Hematology or Oncology, or pending exam completion
Virginia medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
Valid DEA registration
BLS certification
Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in hematology/oncology
Proficiency with EMR systems, notably EPIC Beacon
Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Additional certifications such as ACLS
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including nurse navigators, palliative care, and infusion therapies
Prior experience in outpatient hospital settings with infusion and radiation oncology
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
At least one year of relevant outpatient hematology/oncology practice
Experience managing adult patients aged 18 and above
Other Requirements:
Must be willing to work scheduled Monday-Thursday, with rotating Friday clinics every three weeks
Participate in 24-hour and weekend call rotations
Ability to quickly obtain licensure and credentialing, with an expected process timeframe of 60-90 days
Willingness to travel as needed; all travel expenses are billable
Vaccination requirements include annual influenza immunization
Additional state-specific licensing and credentialing processes may apply
Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate of $507.00, with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay, medical coverage, referral bonuses, licensure and travel reimbursements, and more. Night and weekend call compensation is also provided, with attractive pay rates for on-call duties.
