Required Skills:
Board Certification in Critical Care Pulmonology (BC Critical Care Pulmonology)
Valid VA State Medical License
Current DEA certification for VA
BLS and ACLS certification
Proven experience managing ICU patients
Proficiency in Epic EMR documentation system
Ability to perform specialized procedures such as bronchoscopies
Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with pulmonary rounding in an ICU setting
Familiarity with advanced respiratory equipment such as ION
Experience working with diverse adult age groups (18-100+)
Additional certifications in advanced airway management or critical care techniques
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
At least 2 years of post-residency ICU or pulmonary critical care experience
Strong background in patient-focused care within ICU environments
Other Requirements:
Must have completed flu, MMR, Varicella vaccinations (2 doses or positive titers), and TB screening within the past year
Epic EMR system use within the past year preferred
Commitment to a minimum of 60 days credentialing/privileging process
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, seven days a week
No licensing beyond VA required; IMLC accepted
Travel expenses (airfare, hotel, rental car, mileage) are billable
