Required Skills:
Board Certification in Critical Care Pulmonology (BCCP or equivalent)
Valid VA State Medical License
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
DEA registration for VA
Proficiency in Epic EMR system (used within the past year)
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to support patients aged 18-100 with diverse health conditions
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with bronchoscopy procedures
Familiarity with advanced pulmonary therapies and equipment such as ION
Prior experience in ICU settings with variable patient volumes
Bilingual abilities are a plus but not mandatory
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Minimum of 2 years of post-residency or post-fellowship experience in critical care pulmonology
Prior ICU work experience in a hospital setting
Other Requirements:
Healthcare providers must have updated immunizations including Flu, MMR, Varicella (2 doses or positive titers), and TB within the last year
Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, seven days a week
Credentialing and privileging process minimum duration: 60 days
Willingness to work in patient care environments with flexible scheduling
This role offers an hourly pay rate of $312, with higher rates of $600/hr during overtime or holidays. The position begins on June 1, 2026, providing you with a stable and impactful opportunity to advance your critical care career.
