Join our dedicated team as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery. What You Will Do:
Provide advanced clinical support in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
Perform hospital first assisting and outpatient clinics.
Participate in inpatient rounding and be available for call 7-8 days per month, including weekend 24-hour call and weeknight call after clinical hours.
Engage in surgical first assist duties approximately 10-12 days per month.
Manage inpatient cases and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Required Skills:
Valid certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current state licensure.
Prior experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery strongly preferred.
Excellent clinical decision-making skills and strong procedural competence.
Ability to manage inpatient and outpatient settings effectively.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Availability to work flexible hours, including calls, weekends, and evening shifts.
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous experience with first assisting in surgical procedures.
Knowledge of hospital-based documentation and electronic medical records.
Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in cardiovascular surgery or related specialties.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel as needed for specific cases or training.
Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and other relevant specialties.
Ability to manage call duties and respond promptly to inpatient needs.
