Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Position Type: Temporary with potential for permanent placement

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and well-rounded Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience and be proficient in both inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) settings, with a primary focus on outpatient therapy. The successful candidate will contribute to patient rehabilitation efforts, providing high-quality care across diverse cases, including wound care—a skill that is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services in outpatient and inpatient environments, primarily focusing on outpatient therapy.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Assist in patient assessments, progress documentation, and modification of therapy programs as necessary.
  • Provide specialized care such as wound management when required.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and recovery strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with facility policies and regulations.
  • Uphold professional standards of care and patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a PTA.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a PTA.
  • Strong clinical skills in outpatient therapy; inpatient experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform wound care and other specialized therapies is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
