What You’ll Do
  • Support clinical interventions using evidence-based practices under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments to patients with physical functioning disorders
  • Administer procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices
  • Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly
  • Document all treatments, patient progress, and outcomes following regulatory standards
  • Offer counseling to patients and support to families and caregivers regarding physical health issues
  • Participate in team meetings, patient care conferences, and ongoing trainings
  • Support supervising Physical Therapists in obtaining necessary supplies and supervising students as needed
What You Need
Required:
  • Oklahoma State Licensure as a PTA
  • Prior experience in Long Term Care or similar rehabilitative settings preferred
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team

Preferred:
  • Experience supervising students or support staff
  • Knowledge of APTA standards and state practice acts
