What You’ll Do
Support clinical interventions using evidence-based practices under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments to patients with physical functioning disorders
Administer procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices
Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly
Document all treatments, patient progress, and outcomes following regulatory standards
Offer counseling to patients and support to families and caregivers regarding physical health issues
Participate in team meetings, patient care conferences, and ongoing trainings
Support supervising Physical Therapists in obtaining necessary supplies and supervising students as needed
What You Need
Required:
Oklahoma State Licensure as a PTA
Prior experience in Long Term Care or similar rehabilitative settings preferred
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
Preferred:
Experience supervising students or support staff
Knowledge of APTA standards and state practice acts
