Position: Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health / Mental Health (Full-Time, Varied Shifts)

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $28.90 – $41.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $12,000
Shift Differentials: Additional pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts, enhancing earning potential
Work Schedule Options: Full-time positions available on day, evening, and night shifts, including 8 and 12-hour shifts with flexible schedules

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental health needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Provide direct nursing care in various clinical settings, including high-acuity populations, maintaining safety and therapeutic engagement
Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, discharge procedures, and ongoing care needs
Monitor patient safety continuously, identifying and reporting potential risks to prevent adverse events
Supervise and coordinate activities among licensed and non-licensed staff, fostering a team-oriented environment
Document all patient interactions accurately, adhering to organizational policies and legal requirements
Promote a recovery-focused, therapeutic environment aligning with the organization’s mission and core values
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold standards of best practice
Support staff development through training and mentoring, promoting continuous learning
Assist in resource management, scheduling, and coordination of medication and health-related activities, where applicable
Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and compassion consistently, serving as a positive role model for colleagues and patients alike
Qualifications:
Valid and current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
Prior experience in behavioral health, mental health, or related settings preferred
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, and inclusion
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Demonstrated ability to provide trauma-informed, patient-centered care
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May serve as a charge nurse or clinical lead, providing guidance and oversight to team members
