What You’ll Do
Provide expert clinical care within a Level IIIB NICU caring for approximately 625 admissions annually
Serve as Practice Medical Director, overseeing clinical operations and team performance
Lead initiatives to improve quality, safety, and clinical outcomes
Collaborate with hospital leadership and academic partners to expand services
Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
Engage in scholarly activities, research projects, and educational programming
Utilize advanced neonatal therapies, including high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide
Mentor and support interdisciplinary teams including pediatric subspecialists such as maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric surgery
What You Need
Required:
MD or DO with Board Certification in Neonatology
Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
Leadership experience preferred but not required
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
Preferred:
Experience in academic medicine or program development
Familiarity with advanced neonatal therapies
Past involvement in quality improvement and research projects
