What You'll Do
Evaluate patient function through formal and informal testing across neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, and social domains.
Develop goal-directed treatment plans based on assessment data, patient tolerance, and physician input.
Implement and adjust treatment regimes, including therapies, modalities, and patient education.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on pathology, prognosis, and treatment rationale.
Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, aides, and students, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Recommend and coordinate adaptive or supportive equipment for patients.
Document patient responses and plan updates in compliance with policies.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program development.
Promote occupational therapy within the community and on behalf of the facility.
What You Need
Required:
Valid Michigan Occupational Therapist license
1+ years of outpatient OT experience preferred
Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
Experience in acute and outpatient settings
Knowledge of relevant therapy modalities and adaptive equipment
