What You’ll Do
  • Evaluate patient functional abilities through assessments and testing measures
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments and patient tolerance
  • Coordinate with physicians to create and update treatment plans
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on pathology, prognosis, and treatment rationale
  • Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, aides, and students as applicable
  • Recommend adaptive/supportive equipment and assist in securing necessary devices
  • Document all care activities and patient responses accurately for billing and regulatory compliance
  • Promote occupational therapy services within the community and healthcare team
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards
  • Participate in team meetings, interdisciplinary collaboration, and program development
What You Need
  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan or able to obtain
  • 1+ year of outpatient experience preferred; new grads considered
  • Strong assessment and patient education skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Effective communication skills and professionalism
  • Competency in Microsoft Windows and clinical documentation software
