What You’ll Do
Evaluate patient functional abilities through assessments and testing measures
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments and patient tolerance
Coordinate with physicians to create and update treatment plans
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on pathology, prognosis, and treatment rationale
Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, aides, and students as applicable
Recommend adaptive/supportive equipment and assist in securing necessary devices
Document all care activities and patient responses accurately for billing and regulatory compliance
Promote occupational therapy services within the community and healthcare team
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards
Participate in team meetings, interdisciplinary collaboration, and program development
What You Need
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan or able to obtain
1+ year of outpatient experience preferred; new grads considered
Strong assessment and patient education skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Effective communication skills and professionalism
Competency in Microsoft Windows and clinical documentation software
