Job Title: Perm Urologist Location: Jackson, MI Facility: Henry Ford Jackson Hospital
Position Overview:
Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, a distinguished partner of Henry Ford Health System, is actively seeking a highly qualified Urologist to join our dedicated medical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible physician to contribute to a community-focused healthcare environment, providing comprehensive urologic care in a state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient and inpatient urology services, including surgical procedures, consultations, and follow-up care.
Participate in a balanced call rotation (1:4), including some weekends, to ensure patient coverage and support.
Manage a diverse caseload, seeing approximately 22 patients daily, with two new patient consultations, and overseeing 70-80 patients through clinic assessments.
Conduct scheduled procedures using advanced equipment, including cystoscopies, vasectomies, BCG and Gemzar instillations, uroflow and urodynamic studies, and prostate biopsies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered, high-quality care within a Level II trauma setting.
Engage in outpatient clinic activities, hospital rounds, and surgical duties across two dedicated OR days per week.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certification in Urology or eligibility with certification expected within 6 months.
Valid medical license in Michigan or ability to obtain one promptly.
Current certification in ACLS and BLS.
DEA license for prescribing controlled substances.
Demonstrated commitment to patient care and teamwork.
