Schedule: Monday through Friday, Day Shifts (No weekends, no on-call)

About the Role:
SUN Behavioral Health Delaware is seeking a committed Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team in the historic town of Georgetown, DE. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a stable and rewarding environment to provide comprehensive psychiatric care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient psychiatric services to a diverse patient population within a 99-bed facility.
Manage an average caseload of approximately 18 patients per day.
Manage involuntary commitments in accordance with state regulations.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Advanced Practice Providers.
Document patient interactions and treatment progress using Wellsky EMR.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and state/federal healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) with active DEA registration.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Must have a valid and current medical license for the state of Delaware.
Experience in managing a variety of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, eating disorders, personality disorders, developmental disorders, and psychotic disorders.
Familiarity with involuntary commitment procedures and pharmacotherapy.
Must demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Candidate Requirements:
Permanent interest; this position is not open to locum tenens applicants.
BLS certification required.
Prior experience working in inpatient settings preferred but not mandatory.
