Neonatologist – Full-Time Position | Topeka, Kansas

Stormont Vail Healthcare is seeking a qualified and dedicated Neonatologist to join our esteemed team at our Level-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Topeka, Kansas. This is an excellent opportunity to provide top-tier neonatal care in a collaborative environment, with the support of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

Position Overview:
As a Neonatologist at Stormont Vail, you will deliver comprehensive neonatal intensive care to a diverse patient population. You'll work alongside five experienced neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) to ensure the highest quality of care. This role involves managing complex neonatal therapies and collaborating with subspecialty teams to support the health and development of our neonatal patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide full-spectrum neonatal intensive care in a Level-III NICU with 36 beds and an average daily census of 26 patients.
  • Implement advanced neonatal therapies, including High-Frequency Ventilation, Inhaled Nitric Oxide, Total Body Cooling, and amplitude-integrated EEG (aEEG).
  • Collaborate with subspecialty teams in Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Hematology, and Endocrinology to develop and execute comprehensive care plans.
  • Participate in patient care coverage, including on-call rotations and weekend duties, as outlined by departmental policies.
  • Engage actively within a multidisciplinary team environment aimed at delivering consistent, high-quality neonatal care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ongoing clinical education efforts.

Qualifications:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Demonstrated experience or training in managing complex neonatal cases and advanced therapies.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Kansas.
  • Not accepting Locum Tenens candidates.
  • Open to J-1 visa candidates.

  • Competitive salary ranging from $275,000 to $360,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
