Perm Physician - Maternal-Fetal Medicine | Richmond, VA
Overview:
Join Bon Secours/Mercy Health System in the vibrant city of Richmond, Virginia, as a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician. This is an outstanding opportunity to provide specialized outpatient care within a well-established, reputable health system. Position Highlights:
Type: Full-time or Part-time (guaranteed hours; no per diem)
Location: Outpatient clinics in Richmond, VA, with coverage at two hospitals featuring Level II and Level III NICUs
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Responsibilities:
Management of outpatient maternal-fetal consultations and follow-up care
Limited inpatient procedures including cerclages (approximately 20-30 annually) and in-office Amniocentesis
Collaboration with a dedicated team of Nurse Practitioners and neonatologists
Participation in patient education, high-risk pregnancy management, and fetal surveillance
Work Environment:
No deliveries required
Support from a 2+ physician MFM team offering consult-only services
Utilization of Viewpoint and EPIC electronic health record systems
Qualifications:
Medical Degree from an accredited institution
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Minimum of 1 year of MFM experience preferred; new fellowship graduates are encouraged to apply
Resident within the immediate Richmond area; relocation may be necessary
Valid and current medical license in Virginia or eligible for licensure
Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and team collaboration
Candidate Requirements:
No long-distance commuters (greater than 1 hour)
No candidates with lapsed certifications unless already renewed
Not suitable for locum, 1099, or visa sponsorship candidates
Not open to alternative shift schedules or part-time casual roles without guaranteed hours
