Position Overview:
As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP), you will provide expert, compassionate care in a state-of-the-art Level IV NICU, delivering high-quality services to our most vulnerable patients. You'll work alongside experienced neonatologists and fellow NNPs within a supportive environment that emphasizes mentorship, professional growth, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive, evidence-based neonatal care for critically ill and premature infants in a 92-bed Level IV NICU.
Collaborate closely with a team consisting of 9 neonatologists and 8 full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Manage complex, high-acuity cases, including ventilator management, IV therapy, and newborn stabilization.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and neonatal care planning involving pediatric subspecialists such as cardiology, neurology, and pulmonology.
Support regional neonatal referral services across coastal Georgia, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
Engage in family-centered care initiatives, providing education and support to families during challenging times.
Contribute to clinical quality improvement projects and participate in training and mentoring of residents and new graduates.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
Uphold the mission and standards of Pediatrix and Memorial Health through compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care.
Qualifications & Qualifications:
Current Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-ACMC or equivalent) license in Georgia.
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with specialization in Neonatology.
Clinical experience in a Level III or IV NICU preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply—mentorship provided).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
