Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Echocardiogram Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will perform high-quality adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures, accurately analyze and interpret cardiac data, and contribute to patient care excellence. Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive adult cardiac echocardiograms, adhering to departmental protocols to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging.
Edit and analyze tracings, make precise measurements, and document findings accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Differentiate between normal and abnormal cardiac findings, recognizing arrhythmias and other cardiac anomalies, and understanding their clinical implications.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to obtain optimal imaging and diagnostic data.
Assist in recognizing complex cardiac conditions and ensure all studies meet departmental quality standards.
Maintain proper infection control practices and adhere to dress code policies, including personal scrubs of any color.
Qualifications and Certifications:
Valid New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License (NH MIRT).
Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDCS) through ARDMS or equivalent.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
RCS certification is preferred.
Current state licensure and certification as mandated by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
Technical Skills & Experience:
Proficiency with HMS Medhost EMR or similar systems.
Strong analytical skills for interpreting cardiac images and tracings.
Knowledge of cardiac pathologies, arrhythmias, and related diagnoses.
