Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Gastroenterology (Days) Location: Peterborough, NH (Candidates must be in the process of relocating to New Hampshire)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Gastroenterology team at Monadnock Community Hospital. This full-time day shift position offers opportunities for clinical excellence, collaborative teamwork, and professional growth. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within a specialized gastroenterology outpatient setting, ensuring high-quality care, patient education, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, licensed practical nurses (LPNs), medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute individualized patient care plans.
Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document patient conditions, treatments, and progress in medical records, and communicate significant changes to the healthcare team promptly.
Medication & Treatment Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
Patient Education: Provide clear and thorough education to patients and families regarding disease management, procedural preparations, treatment options, and preventive health measures.
Advocacy & Support: Offer compassionate emotional support, advocate for patient rights, and ensure respectful, patient-centered care.
Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and federal/state regulations to maintain safety and ethical standards.
Professional Development: Stay current with medical advancements, clinical best practices, and participate in ongoing training and continuing education activities.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to ensure comprehensive patient care and departmental efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid RN license in the state of New Hampshire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Proven clinical experience as a registered nurse, preferably in outpatient or gastroenterology settings.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to compassionate patient care.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy outpatient environment.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to all applicable healthcare standards and regulations.
Candidates must be in the process of relocating to New Hampshire; serious inquiries only.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: Competitive, with a midpoint estimate of $39/hour (final offer based on experience and qualifications).
