Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to behavioral health patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans in accordance with accepted nursing standards, hospital policies, and medical directives.
Collaborate closely with physicians, mental health specialists, therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop and adjust treatment strategies tailored to each patient’s needs.
Administer medications and treatments safely, adhering strictly to hospital protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of patient assessments, interventions, progress, and discharge planning.
Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medication management, coping strategies, and health maintenance.
Provide emotional support, advocacy, and compassionate care to promote patient dignity and well-being.
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety regulations, and licensing requirements, including confidentiality and informed consent standards.
Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with advances in behavioral health nursing and best practices.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the effective operation of the behavioral health unit.
Qualifications & Certifications:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Hampshire or equivalent.
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (American Heart Association preferred).
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (American Heart Association preferred).
Prior experience in behavioral health, mental health, or psychiatric nursing is highly desirable.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate: $40 to $48, commensurate with education and experience.
