Job Title: Registered Nurse House Supervisor (Night Shift)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a House Supervisor for our overnight shift. This leadership role involves overseeing nursing care, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional resident-centered care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, effective communication skills, and a commitment to quality improvement and resident well-being.

Salary and Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and supervision of nursing staff, including nursing assistants and LPNs, ensuring delivery of high-quality, resident-focused care
  • Oversee the administration and documentation of medication, treatments, laboratory specimen collection, and resident monitoring, adhering to established protocols
  • Review and update individualized care plans, incorporating resident condition changes and coordinating multidisciplinary team communication
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and institutional standards
  • Conduct and document incident reports, weight, vital signs, and other clinical assessments accurately and promptly
  • Assist with physician rounds, examinations, and procedures as needed
  • Manage resident transfers, notify families and department heads, and update relevant documentation effectively
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing feedback, counseling, and participating in annual reviews and team meetings
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-organized environment; report safety hazards and maintenance needs promptly
  • Support and participate in the orientation and onboarding of new staff members
  • Assist in quality assurance activities and participate in care plan conferences and team meetings
  • Provide direct resident care when necessary and support staff during high-demand situations
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code policies
  • Uphold a courteous, respectful, and compassionate approach toward residents, families, visitors, and team members

Qualifications:
  • Valid PA Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Knowledge of nursing theory, medical asepsis, body mechanics, and proper use of equipment
  • Strong understanding of resident care standards, regulations, and documentation requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, exercise independent judgment, and respond appropriately in emergencies
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods, with good body mechanics
  • Pass employment physical and clearance tests as required
  • Current BLS certification (obtained upon employment, if not already held)

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
  • Good physical health and mental alertness to fulfill job duties
  • Ability to pass routine physicals and maintain infection control standards
  • No known communicable diseases

Dress Code & Personal Appearance:
  • Clean, colored scrubs; closed-toe, in-good-repair shoes
  • Neatly kept hair; minimal jewelry (no large/dangling earrings or necklaces)
  • No heavy perfumes or fragrances
  • Name badge worn at all times
  • No short or jogging pants
