Job Responsibilities:
As an Inpatient Pharmacist at Salina Regional Health Center, you will be integral to providing safe, effective pharmaceutical care to our diverse patient population. Your primary duties include:
Dispensing prescribed medications accurately and efficiently
Providing medication education to patients and healthcare staff
Monitoring medication therapy for efficacy and safety
Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient-specific pharmaceutical plans
Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and institutional policies
Managing medication inventory and maintaining accurate documentation
Responding to medication-related inquiries from patients and staff, offering expert guidance
Participating in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs
Qualifications:
Valid state Pharmacist license with current eligibility to practice in Kansas
Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D. or equivalent)
Proven experience in an inpatient hospital setting preferred
Strong knowledge of hospital medication policies, protocols, and safety standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development
