Your expertise will directly contribute to saving lives and improving health during complex cardiac surgeries and critical care.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in perfusion
Certification by The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
Current licensure as a Perfusionist by the Louisiana State Board of Medical or ability to obtain licensure
Proficiency in adult cardiopulmonary bypass, ventricular assist devices, intra-aortic balloon pump support, and ECMO
Skilled in auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, hemofiltration, acute dialysis, and operating blood analyzers and ex-vivo organ systems
Strong knowledge of sterile procedures and patient safety protocols
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with emergency response and adverse event management
Prior exposure to high-pressure clinical settings and multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of state-specific healthcare regulations and compliance standards
Familiarity with travel and reimbursement processes for healthcare professionals
Preferred Education and Experience:
Formal training program completion in Extracorporeal Technology
At least two years of clinical perfusion experience, with first-time traveler acceptance
Other Requirements:
Ability and willingness to work day shifts (5x8 hours, 06:30 – 15:00)
Availability to participate in emergency teams and relief assignments if required
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel if relevant
Flexible and adaptable to evolving operational needs
