Required Skills
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Perfusionist
Certification by The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
Valid license as a Perfusionist, either by the Louisiana State Board of Medical or the ability to obtain one
Expertise in adult cardiopulmonary bypass, ventricular assist devices, Intra Aortic Balloon Pump support, and ECMO procedures
Proficiency in auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, hemofiltration (including acute dialysis), blood analyzers, and ex-vivo organ systems
Ability to perform under pressure, including participation in emergency response teams when assigned
Nice to Have Skills
Experience working with first-time travelers or new healthcare environments
Additional certifications in related advanced cardiovascular technologies
Strong communication skills and adaptability in high-pressure situations
Preferred Education and Experience
Completion of a formal Extracorporeal Technology training program
At least 2 years of recent clinical experience in cardiopulmonary perfusion
Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot advanced perfusion equipment
Other Requirements
Willingness to participate as part of emergency or relief teams with flexibility to stay at the facility during specific events
Available for day shift (5x8-hour shifts from 06:30 to 15:00)
Commitment to ongoing professional development and compliance with licensure and certification standards
Ability to travel if applicable; reimbursements provided for licensure, certification, travel, and related expenses
