We are seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional pediatric care at Vandenberg Space Force Base. This vital role offers an opportunity to serve a diverse patient population in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a key member of our team, you will deliver comprehensive pediatric services, ensuring the health and well-being of our young patients while working within the framework of strict California laws and federal guidelines.
Required Skills:
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program recognized by ACEN or CCNE
Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with valid certification cards
Proven clinical competency in pediatrics, meeting service-specific credentialing requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous experience working in pediatric healthcare settings
Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations
Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program with specialized training in pediatrics
Prior experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, ideally within a federal or military healthcare setting
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work 8-hour day shifts, five days a week
Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licensure and certifications
No travel required for this position
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate of $74.00, with a blended rate of $77.00 including holiday pay
Additional benefits valued at $5.09/hour towards health and wellness
