  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in medical surgical or PCU setting

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide specialized care to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity surgical oncology PCU unit
  • Administer chemotherapies, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and manage oncologic emergencies
  • Monitor and respond to cytokine release syndrome, insulin, and heparin drips
  • Adhere to infection prevention protocols and fall prevention strategies
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure quality patient outcomes
  • Float within scope of practice as needed to support unit staffing
  • Enter and document patient care accurately in EPIC charting system

What You Need:
  • Ohio RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a surgical, oncology, or PCU setting
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required); ONS Chemo (preferred)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

About the Assignment:
This 16-week contract at a busy surgical oncology PCU unit involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary, colorectal cancers, and reconstructive surgeries. The unit handles complex procedures such as chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and emergent oncologic care. You will join a team committed to patient safety and quality care, with flexible scheduling based on departmental needs.
