Join Our Team as a PCU Registered Nurse – Make a Difference in Cardiac Care
Are you a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse looking to advance your career in a dynamic and rewarding environment? We are seeking compassionate and skilled PCU Registered Nurses to join our team, delivering exceptional care to patients in a lower acuity cardiac unit. This is your opportunity to work weekdays and some weekends, with rotating holiday shifts, in a supportive setting that values your expertise and growth.
In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care by utilizing your skills in IV starts, telemedicine, and Epic electronic health record systems. You will be responsible for floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels, ensuring seamless patient care across departments. Working 3 nights per week from 19:00 to 07:30, you will manage an estimated patient ratio of 1:3, directly impacting patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU or similar lower acuity cardiac setting
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Proficiency in IV starts and telemonitoring
Epic EMR system experience
Ability to float within comparable units as needed
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with cardiac telemetry
Additional certifications such as CCRN or CCRN-E
Bilingual abilities serve as an asset
Preferred Education and Experience:
Valid nursing license in good standing
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
At least 2 years of professional experience in a cardiac or PCU environment
Other Requirements:
Flexible availability for weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts
Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to unit needs
Compliance with all hospital, state, and federal policies
