Join our dynamic healthcare team as a PCU Registered Nurse and make a critical difference in patient care within our progressive hospital environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, rewarding setting, providing specialized care on a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). As a vital member of our healthcare workforce, you will deliver high-quality nursing services, support patient recovery, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients in a fast-paced environment.
Float to different units within the organization as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records and document care activities.
Adhere to hospital protocols, policies, and safety standards.
Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and communicate clearly with patients and families.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Progressive Care Unit.
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and NIH (Nursing Initial Healthcare) certifications.
Ability to float across various units and adapt to changing patient needs.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous experience working in a hospital setting within the OSU organization.
Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or specialty-specific credentials.
Experience with hospital-specific protocols or procedures.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN).
At least two years of professional nursing experience in a PCU or critical care environment.
Other Requirements:
Availability for rotating night shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness to work 3 shifts of 12 hours each, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Ability to travel within the organization and float between units as needed.
Valid nursing license applicable to the state of employment.
