Join Our Healthcare Team as a PCU Registered Nurse – Make a Difference in Critical Patient Care!

Are you a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse ready to work in a fast-paced, correctional health environment? We are seeking a highly skilled PCU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a secure Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) facility. This vital role offers an opportunity to contribute to inmate health management with a focus on oncology and complex medical-surgical cases while working within a collaborative, supportive team.

Required Skills:
  • Valid Ohio RN license in good standing
  • EPIC electronic health record experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to float across Oncology Medical-Surgical units as needed
  • Knowledge of oncology diagnoses, treatments, and procedures preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Oncology nursing experience or background in Hematology/Oncology
  • Experience with Pyxis medication system and complex IV therapy management
  • Cardiac telemetry monitoring skills, including arrhythmia interpretation
  • Experience with Tracheostomy care, CPAP/BIPAP, and respiratory support devices
  • Knowledge of correctional healthcare protocols and safety procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience
  • Prior experience in oncology settings is advantageous but not required

Other Requirements:
  • Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30) on a rotating schedule, including weekends
  • Ability to work in a secure correctional environment and adhere to strict safety protocols
  • Willingness to float to various units as needed
  • Valid CPR certification and compliance with all facility and regulatory requirements
