We are seeking dedicated professionals to fill three openings on our busy 12-hour night shifts at James PCU. This pivotal role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients with complex surgical oncology needs. This role is integral to our commitment to delivering quality healthcare. As a PCU RN, you will manage a diverse patient population, including those undergoing chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and other specialized treatments, with a focus on infection prevention and patient safety. Be an essential part of a supportive team that values expertise, professionalism, and continuous growth.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a step-down, surgical oncology, or medical-surgical setting
  • Proficiency in IV therapy, blood transfusions, chemotherapy administration, and use of electronic health records (Epic preferred)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and patient management skills
  • Ability to adapt to variable scheduling and shift rotations

Nice to Have Skills:
  • ONS chemotherapy certification
  • Experience with complex oncologic procedures and emergency protocols
  • Prior work in high-acuity or teaching hospital environments

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher is preferred
  • Valid and active RN license in the state of practice
  • At least 2 years of relevant clinical nursing experience in oncology or surgical units

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
  • Willingness to participate in orientation and ongoing training programs
  • Flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends based on unit needs
  • Certification and/or experience with computerized charting systems, preferably EPIC

  • Hourly Pay Rate: $59.18
