This role is integral to our commitment to delivering quality healthcare. As a PCU RN, you will manage a diverse patient population, including those undergoing chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and other specialized treatments, with a focus on infection prevention and patient safety. Be an essential part of a supportive team that values expertise, professionalism, and continuous growth.
Required Skills:
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a step-down, surgical oncology, or medical-surgical setting
Proficiency in IV therapy, blood transfusions, chemotherapy administration, and use of electronic health records (Epic preferred)
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Excellent critical thinking, communication, and patient management skills
Ability to adapt to variable scheduling and shift rotations
Nice to Have Skills:
ONS chemotherapy certification
Experience with complex oncologic procedures and emergency protocols
Prior work in high-acuity or teaching hospital environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher is preferred
Valid and active RN license in the state of practice
At least 2 years of relevant clinical nursing experience in oncology or surgical units
Other Requirements:
Ability to work night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
Willingness to participate in orientation and ongoing training programs
Flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends based on unit needs
Certification and/or experience with computerized charting systems, preferably EPIC
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Pay Rate: $59.18
