Join Our Team as a PCU Registered Nurse and Make a Difference in Oncology Care!

Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse seeking a rewarding opportunity in a high-acuity oncology progressive care unit? We are looking for passionate professionals to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do:
  • Deliver specialized care for patients with solid tumors, orthopedic, and thoracic oncology diagnoses.
  • Manage high acuity patients using advanced telemetry systems and specialized equipment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Follow rigorous infection prevention protocols and patient safety measures.
  • Adapt to various assignments within similar acuity units, demonstrating versatility.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of high-acuity PCU or telemetry experience.
  • Proficient in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing cardiac drips.
  • Skilled in IV start, port access, and central line care.
  • Capable of managing feeding tubes, blood products, and respiratory devices such as CPAP, BiPAP, and HFNC.
  • Knowledge of Heparin protocols, PCA pump management, and ABG interpretation.
  • Strong commitment to infection control and patient safety.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience managing dysrhythmias and insulin protocols.
  • Familiarity with chemotherapy administration and monitoring.
  • Skills in wound care, wound vac management, and arterial lines.
  • Proficiency in non-invasive airway management and surgical drain care.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Valid RN license.
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
  • Certification in BCLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.

Other Requirements:
  • Certification in BCLS, ACLS, and NIH required.
  • Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00 - 07:30).
  • Willingness to start on 02/23/2026.
  • Self-scheduling requests accepted for shift planning.
  • Comprehensive orientation program, including bedside training and preceptor support.
