Join Our Team as a PCU Registered Nurse - Make a Difference in High-Acuity Care!

Are you a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse seeking a rewarding opportunity in a dynamic healthcare environment? We are looking for compassionate PCU Registered Nurses to provide exceptional care on a high-acuity Progressive Care Unit specializing in oncology. This is your chance to work in a supportive, fast-paced setting where your expertise impacts patient outcomes every day.

In this role, you will deliver specialized nursing care to oncology patients, including those with solid tumors, orthopedic, and thoracic cancers. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team managing complex cases with a focus on infection control, patient safety, and high-quality care. Our unit features 36 beds, including dedicated telemetry and pediatric care beds, offering a challenging yet fulfilling environment for professional growth.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of high-acuity PCU or telemetry nursing experience
  • Excellent knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac drip management
  • Proficiency with IV therapy, port access, blood product administration, and line care
  • Ability to respond to rapid response calls and manage acute patient needs
  • Strong infection prevention and patient safety protocols adherence
  • Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIH required
  • Ability to float within units of comparable or lower acuity

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Oncology experience (preferred but not required)
  • Management of dysrhythmias and insulin protocols
  • Chemotherapy administration and monitoring
  • Advanced wound care and wound vac management
  • Non-invasive airway management including CPAP/BIPAP and HFNC
  • Experience with arterial lines, surgical drains, and phlebotomy

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Valid RN license
  • At least 2 years of recent high-acuity or telemetry experience
  • Previous travel or agency RN experience is a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Availability for night shift (3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30)
  • Willingness to float within units of similar or lower acuity
  • Must pass necessary background and credential checks
  • Ongoing certifications verification
