Required Skills:
Valid RN license and current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Epic charting experience is mandatory
Ability to float across Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) and PCU units as needed
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient safety awareness
Proficiency in medication administration, IV therapy, and telemetry monitoring
Ability to respond swiftly to emergencies and interpret complex patient data
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
Oncology experience, including treatment procedures and oncologic diagnoses
Previous experience in correctional healthcare settings
Knowledge of Pyxis medication systems and Epic documentation platform
Experience managing complex patient conditions such as hematology, solid tumors, or comorbidities
Preferred Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse with active licensure in Ohio or relevant state
Minimum of 1-2 years of Medical-Surgical or telemetry nursing experience
Oncology experience preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work a 12-hour day or night shift, including weekends, with rotating schedules
Ability to work in a secured correctional environment with access controlled by Corrections Officers
Compliance with all facility-specific safety, security, and documentation protocols
Certifications in CPR/BLS at minimum; additional certifications are advantageous
