Looking for a dedicated and experienced PCU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team for an exciting new tower opening on 15E James, specializing in Acute Leukemia and Hematology care. Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting
Proficiency in MS/Tele and telemetry monitoring
Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and respond to rapid response calls
Experience with feeding tube care, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
Skilled in central line and PICC line management
Use of computerized charting systems (EPIC preferred)
Strong knowledge of infection prevention protocols and fall prevention strategies
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Nice to Have Skills:
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
ONS chemotherapy certification
Preferred Education and Experience:
Nursing degree (BSN preferred)
At least 2 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in hematology or oncology units
Other Requirements:
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Ability to work night shifts (19:00 - 07:30) on a 12-hour schedule
Self-scheduling preferences are welcome and will be accommodated before finalizing shift assignments
Willingness to adhere to all safety and infection control standards
Specific orientation dates available starting from 11/17, with subsequent sessions on 12/01, 12/15, 01/05, 01/12, and 01/26
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $59.18, with weekly pay via direct deposit.
