PACU Registered Nurse - Night Shift - New Orleans, LA

Pay & Benefits:
  • Pay Rate: $53.60 per hour

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide post-anesthesia care for patients across all age groups, including pediatric and adult populations
  • Assist in recovery from anesthesia in Phase I and Phase II settings
  • Support patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, excluding critical care services
  • Float to Pediatric PACU as needed, supporting high-volume OR units
  • Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Accuvein
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient recovery in a busy surgical environment
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and clinical standards, including Epic documentation


What You Need:
  • Current valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain
  • ACLS, BCLS, PALS certifications required
  • Minimum of 1 year PACU or Pre/Post Op experience (Critical Care Post Op experience preferred)
  • Ability to care for patients of all ages and support dual-unit Float capability
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills


About the Assignment:
This assignment involves working in a fast-paced surgical recovery department supporting all major surgical services, including pediatric and adult patients. The unit manages a high-volume caseload across multiple operating rooms, emphasizing high-quality post-anesthesia care and patient safety. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes in a dynamic perioperative setting.
