What You’ll Do
Provide patient care in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit supporting all major surgical services
Float to pediatric PACU as needed, supporting pediatric and adult surgical populations
Manage patients recovering from anesthesia in pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II
Support high patient volumes with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Accuvein
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient recovery processes
Adapt to Emergency Team assignments, supporting facility needs during events or relief shifts as directed
What You Need
Current valid RN license
ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications
Experience in PACU or Pre/Post-Op care preferred
Ability to float to pediatric PACU when necessary
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Comfort working in a busy, high-volume surgical recovery environment
About the Assignment
This role is based at a busy surgical recovery unit supporting patients across all age groups in a facility equipped with 34 operating rooms on two floors. The unit handles pediatric and adult patients, providing high-quality post-anesthesia care, including regional anesthesia and special procedures. The facility serves a diverse surgical population, with a mix of scheduled and emergency procedures, requiring flexibility and clinical expertise.
