Join Our Team as a PACU Registered Nurse – Make a Difference in Post-Aoperative Care!
Are you a dedicated nursing professional eager to advance your career in a dynamic cardiac care environment? We are seeking a skilled PACU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional post-anesthesia care at The Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital. This pivotal role offers an opportunity to work with a high-acuity patient population, utilizing your expertise to ensure optimal recovery outcomes. Your compassionate care will directly influence patient safety and comfort during critical moments of their healing journey.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience, with a strong background in pre-op/post-op care.
Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system.
Valid BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
Experience working in Level 1 trauma and outpatient units is highly desirable.
Prior charge nurse experience is a plus.
Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:1 efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with cardiac procedures such as CABG, TAVR, EVAR.
Familiarity with angiogram, pulmonary decortication, ablation, and peripheral bypass procedures.
Flexibility to work rotating day shifts with call responsibilities, including every third or fourth weekend.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Nursing license in good standing with appropriate state certifications.
Previous PACU or Cardiac ICU experience preferred, particularly in outpatient or trauma settings.
Other Requirements:
Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts from 05:00 to 17:30, starting March 9, 2026.
Willingness to participate in rotating shifts including call, with applicable reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and other expenses.
