Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive postoperative care to surgery patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and respond promptly to patient needs.
Collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure safe and effective recovery.
Document patient progress accurately and adhere to all safety protocols.
Maintain a calm, compassionate presence to support patients and families through recovery.
Required Skills:
Active RN license in good standing.
Minimum of 1 year of PACU or related perioperative experience.
Proficiency in patient monitoring, vital sign assessment, and emergency response.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Level 1 trauma cases.
Telemetry and ventilator management experience.
Knowledge of advanced airway management techniques.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Prior experience in trauma centers or critical care settings highly desirable.
Other Requirements:
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30).
Weekend work: 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
Ability to work night shifts consistently.
Travel or relocation reimbursement considered where applicable.
