Overview:
Join Virginia Mason Franciscan Health as a Locum Physician Assistant specializing in outpatient cardiology. This full-time, clinic-only position is essential in managing follow-up care, annual check-ups, and acute outpatient visits. As a key member of our team, you will help ensure continuity of care for patients and support providers by handling inbox coverage and managing established patient visits. The role is ideal for experienced cardiology PAs seeking steady, meaningful work in a collaborative environment.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of outpatient cardiology experience.
Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to independently manage patient care within a team-based clinic model.
Comfort seeing approximately 16 patients per day, with visits averaging 30 minutes each.
Capable of interpreting cardiology imaging and diagnostic test results for complex patient management.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience managing inpatient or procedural cardiology cases.
Additional certifications or training in cardiology.
Fluency in additional languages to enhance patient communication.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
At least 2 years of outpatient cardiology experience.
Previous experience with EPIC EMR system.
Other Requirements:
Availability to start on 25/12/2025.
Full-time commitment; no part-time or alternating weekly schedules.
Ability to work scheduled hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Willingness to work on a temporary basis for 6-9 months.
Candidates from out of state must be willing to consider some travel and committed lodging arrangements to ensure stability during the assignment.
