Required Skills:
Demonstrated independent ability in EVH/vein harvesting
Experience assisting with CABG, open-heart surgeries, and valve procedures
Proficiency in sternotomy closure, chest tube placement, arterial and venous sheath insertion, and central line placement
Knowledge of CV ICU protocols and critical care management
Familiarity with Impella devices and other advanced cardiac support technologies
Strong understanding of pre- and post-operative patient management in cardiac surgery settings
Nice to Have Skills:
Exposure to SFA (Surgical First Assist) procedures in cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries
Experience with endoscopic radial artery harvesting
Ability to manage post-operative complications effectively
Prior experience with endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques
Preferred Education and Experience:
Certified Physician Assistant licensed in applicable state
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery environments
Prior exposure to ICU and critical care settings related to cardiac surgery
Other Requirements:
Must hold valid licensure and certification required for practicing as a Physician Assistant
Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential on-call duties
Commitment to adhering to all safety and procedural protocols
No travel required for this position
