Job Description

VHS is looking for a qualified Physician - Ear, Nose and Throat.

Coverage Details:
• Coverage needed per month 24hr / hourly shifts / shifts call etc: 1 day of coverage per month for now – will grow to additional days
• Frequency of any Call needed: 1 day per month for now
• Schedule Details: start / end times days of the week etc: TBD
Work Details:
• Support staff: APPs on service
• Department Description: neurosurgery OR support for neurosurgery
• Patient Volume: 3 to 4 cases a month
• Patient Age Group: adults
• EMR/Documentation System: Epic
• Specific skill set needed:
**Will consider a Rhinologist or Neurologist-fellow trained provider if they can do the cases**
- ENT specialist for endoscopic trans-sphenoidal access for pituitary cases cover sinus surgery for CSF leaks and opening and closure for translabyrinthine craniotomy.
- ENT generalist for assistance with anterior approaches to the cervical spine in patients with prior neck surgery cancer or radiation. This would not be a specialist skillset.
Requirements:
• Are Board Certifications Req’d?: BC in ENT and ability to do cases above skill base not required if appropriate training and case logs
• Which State Licenses Req’d?: TN
• Certifications Req’d? BLS / ACLS / etc: BLS ACLS
• Specific Skills Req’d?: procedures as above.
• CSR Req’d?:
• DEA Req’d?: Yes
• Minimum Experience Req’d # of years: not required just case logs
• Are vaccines mandatory?: Yes
• Any additional requirements/details to screen for?: per Ballad standard
Credentialing/Privileging Timeframe: can do temporary but if not 90 days after license
Are you willing To License?: Yes but prefer existing TN license
Is IMLC Accepted?: Yes
Which travel is billable airfare / hotel / rental car / mileage / etc: all billable
Rates: 24hr call = 3000 to include 8hrs of surgery and call Callback = 500/hr only if called back onto campus after provider has left for the day.
Shift Info: Day 1x8-Hour 07:00 - 15:00
1099 Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rates (W-2 Pay Packages available upon request)
Certification Requirements: Please confirm credential requirements with VHS upon application.
