What You’ll Do
Conduct comprehensive pediatric eye exams, including binocular and strabismus assessments
Perform contact lens fittings, including complex/pediatric fits
Support diagnostic imaging and work collaboratively with ophthalmologists and technicians
Manage patients with developmental delays, neuro-ophthalmic conditions, and spectrum disorders
Document your assessments and treatment plans in Epic EMR system
Educate patients and families about eye health and vision correction options
Handle high-acuity pediatric cases with sensitivity and skill
What You Need
Required:
Valid California Optometrist license
BLS certification
At least 3 years of experience working with pediatric populations in a medical setting
Experience with complex pediatric patients, including assessments for strabismus and binocular vision
Preferred:
Pediatric optometry residency training
Experience in outpatient or hospital-based pediatric ophthalmology
