Join Our Emergency Department Float Pool as a Night Registered Nurse (RN)
Elevate your nursing career by providing exceptional care in our dynamic Emergency Department during night shifts. As a vital member of our Float Pool, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and pediatric patients, including trauma cases, in a fast-paced, acute care setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise, collaborate with a talented team, and make a meaningful difference every night.
What You’ll Bring:
Current New York State RN registration
BLS certification (ability to recertify as needed)
Minimum of 1.5 years recent experience within the past 2 years in an acute care facility comparable in size and specialty, including trauma centers
Experience with adult and pediatric patients, with Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience preferred
EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Professional license and certification in good standing, with no suspensions or investigations
Ability to perform competent patient assessments and nursing skills with minimal supervision
Legal right to work in the U.S.
Successful passing of pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background checks
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working in Level 1 or 2 trauma centers
Previous float pool or multi-unit nursing experience
Advanced certifications or specialized trauma training
Preferred Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse with at least 1.5 years of recent bedside experience in a high-volume, acute care hospital or trauma center setting
Other Requirements:
Night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Inclusion of every other weekend and some holidays in scheduled shifts
Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and work independently with minimal orientation
Compensation: $66.99 per hour
