Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience
Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure monitoring
Certification in BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record system
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Effective communication and patient advocacy skills
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous travel nursing experience
Advanced certifications or specialized neuro-critical care training
Experience working in diverse healthcare settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
Nursing license valid in the state of employment
At least 2 years of prior Neuro ICU experience in a hospital setting
Baccalaureate or higher in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Other Requirements:
Availability for 3x12-hour shifts, including day (07:00-19:00) and night shifts (19:00-07:30) on a rotating schedule
On-call responsibilities required
Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Valid licensure, certifications, and ability to pass necessary background checks
Willingness to work within a team committed to continuous improvement and patient safety
