VHS is looking for a qualified Nurse Practitioner - Surgical.

  • Description: Summary: Working with a team of 3 surgeons and 3 other PAs. We typically run 2 rooms 2-3 cases/day. Must do OR and a bonus if the candidate can do floor ICU and rounding! RATES FOR SUBMISSION: Malpractice – Must be included in rates. Orientation – 125 - half the hourly/callback rate kicks in after 8 hours. “Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours” Hourly – 250 - “Per hour not OT” Holiday – 375 - Must be 1.5x the hourly rate. “Per holiday hour no OT” Nightly Call – 830 - “Per night call to hold the pager to include 2 hours gratis” Holiday Nightly Call - 1245 - Per night call to hold the pager to include 2 hours gratis” On Call Daily – 1860 - “Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis 24 Hour Holiday Call Rate - 2790 - “Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis Call Back – 250 – “Per hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.” Holiday Call Back – 375 – “Per holiday hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.” Schedule/Availability Requirements: Full time 4 weeks/month 5x8s but would consider 4x10s M-F 8a-4p Jan 29th start Any call? Call 1 weeknight per month for OR possible weekend rounding depending on the candidate. The weekend call is rounding until all patients are seen then call from off-campus. There is no specific time requirement only that rounds are done and then the service coverage is handed off to an in-house resident who then takes calls from RNsWeeknight call coverage is 6p-6aThe weekend shift involves inpatient rounds so on campus until rounding is done then on call from home for the remainder of the 24 hr period 6a-6aIt is important to clarify that there are in house residents that take primary calls on all inpatients during these shifts so the PA is on call to take secondary calls from the resident in house These call shifts also involve on call for emergency OR cases Facility Location: Virginia Mason Medical Center Seattle Setting: Cardiac Surgery OR possible inpatient coverage depending on the candidate FTE: 1.0 Duties: Primarily Cardiac Surgery OR first assisting possible rounding work as needed Required Procedures: Cardiac Surgery OR first assisting endoscopic vein harvesting EMR: Cerner EVH: Vasoview / Maquet Support Staff: Cardiac Team 3 surgeons 3 other PAs 2 clinic nurses floor resident Reason for Coverage: gap in staffing following departure of 1 PA and locum not returning Travel Preferences:Preferred Lodging: Candidates must follow CommonSpirit Health Travel policy. Please detail any anticipated travel exceptions for example a dietary restriction necessitating specific lodging situations. Travel exception requests will be denied if this information is not part of the provider presentation. Please also indicate the city where provider will be traveling from in the travel section of the provider submission. Credentialing Information:Timeframe: ~3 months Requirements: Cardiac surgery OR first assistCredentialing with other facilities? NoBilling enrollment - Is this position providing services in lieu of an existing enrolled provider for a period of 60 days or less?
