We are seeking dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioners specializing in General Medicine to provide essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments nationwide. This vital role supports our nation's veterans by delivering timely and professional evaluations in a flexible, part-time capacity. Required Skills:
Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related fields
Experience with general medicine, compensation, and pension exams preferred
Strong interviewing skills and ability to perform physical assessments (range of motion, muscle strength testing)
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently within your own clinic location
Knowledge of medical documentation and report submission
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience performing VA-related exams or assessments
Familiarity with Veterans Affairs (VA) procedures and requirements
Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation portals
Certification in DMA or related credentials advantageous but not mandatory
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree or higher in Nursing Practice or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in primary care or similar setting
Prior experience in medical evaluations, assessments, or military/veteran healthcare environments preferred
Other Requirements:
Own a dedicated office space within a 50-mile radius of Silver City or Deming, NM, Hobbs, NM, or Grants, NM
Willingness to perform exams on a PRN, ongoing basis, including flexible half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
Must be eligible to work as a W-2 employee with all necessary licensing and certifications
Reliable internet access for administrative tasks and report submissions
No travel reimbursement for certifications or portal training required prior to starting

Hourly Pay Rate:
Half-day (up to 4 hours): $600 flat rate
Full-day (5 hours or more): $1,200 flat rate
Bonus: $650 one-time bonus for completing training and first exams
