We are looking for passionate General Medicine Providers to deliver crucial Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. In this role, you will perform interview-based evaluations and physical assessments—such as range of motion and muscle strength testing—without the need for prescribing or treatment. Whether operating from your own office or working at a VES facility within 50 miles of your home, you will contribute to vital veteran services with ease and efficiency.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Valid Nurse Practitioner license with experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or related general medicine fields.
Ability to perform non-treatment exams, including interviews and physical assessments.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for report submission and documentation.
Professional demeanor with excellent communication abilities.
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or military-related evaluations.
Familiarity with veteran healthcare or government contracts.
Ability to independently manage exam schedules in your own office setting.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher.
Active Nurse Practitioner certification.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice, preferably in family or internal medicine.
Experience with administrative documentation and veteran services is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
Candidates must be local to Houston, TX, or within 50 miles if using their own office.
Willingness to undergo quick credentialing and onboarding process.
Availability for PRN, ongoing assignments on a flexible basis.
Reliable internet and access to necessary medical documentation tools.
This position offers an hourly pay rate of $402.00, with flat rates of $600 for half-day shifts (up to 4 hours) and $1200 for full-day shifts (5 hours or more). A one-time bonus of $650 is available upon completing training and your first exams. Additionally, candidates will benefit from comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), weekly pay via direct deposit, and a robust referral bonus program. We support your success with a dedicated 24/7 team, paid sick time, and reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other eligible expenses where applicable.
