Are you a dedicated nurse practitioner with expertise in general medicine looking for flexible, rewarding temporary opportunities? We are seeking talented Locum Nurse Practitioners to provide essential care through quick, one-time assessments for Veterans. What You’ll Need:
• Valid Nurse Practitioner license, preferably with experience in general medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine
• Ability to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments
• Excellent interview skills with some physical assessment experience (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing)
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Must have own office within 50 miles of the specified city (for provider-owned office options)
• Ability to work independently on a PRN basis, including half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
Nice to Have Skills:
• Previous experience with Veteran health assessments or federal healthcare systems
• Familiarity with physical exam procedures and documentation requirements
• Certifications in related fields such as DMA or additional licenses
Preferred Education & Experience:
• Master’s degree or higher in Nursing
• Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in general or internal medicine
• Prior experience with Compensation & Pension examinations is advantageous but not mandatory
Other Requirements:
• Must be local to the Houston, TX area or surrounding regions within 50 miles for provider-owned office work
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
• Willingness to perform exams at your own office location or at healthcare facilities as needed
Compensation & Benefits:
• Hourly flat rates of $600 for half-day (up to 4 hours) and $1,200 for full-day (5 hours or more) shifts
• A one-time bonus of $650 upon completing all training and your first exams
• Competitive weekly pay schedule via direct deposit

• Reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and other approved expenses when applicable
